Overview

The LIVE Lab is looking for a team based engineering programmer to fill the role of a member of the engineering team. Engineers are individuals with good communication abilities, strong problem solving skills, and creative thinking methods. The ability to adapt, think modularly, and maintain a large codebase are all critical aspects of the engineering role. Candidates should be comfortable learning new concepts, working together with a team, and documenting their code.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a large codebase
  • Updating timesheets correctly
  • Working with others in a professional manner
  • Adhering to a chain of command
  • Being accountable
  • Being honest

Requirements:

  • C++ or C# knowledge
  • CSCE 221 strongly preferred
  • Adapting to coding standards
  • Following source control standards
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Willing to learn and accept your way might not be the best

Desired Skills:

  • An A in CSCE 221
  • Previous source control experience
  • Previous experience in game engines
  • Previous experience in Unity3D 5.5+
  • Importing assets
  • GLSL knowledge or expertise
